Art Buds Collective is an award-winning social enterprise dedicated to the delivery of sustainable arts education in nature for children, families and adults. Our classes promote sustainable art-making, celebrate the creative journey and inspire the protection of our planet. 

Holiday Workshops for Children

Art and Drama 4-Day Summer Workshop

Our 4-day Art and Drama workshop invites children aged 6-12 years to explore costume making, set design, song, staging, storytelling and performance skills. Participants will take inspiration from nature and the dramatic surroundings of Holyrood Park and work sustainably with a range of materials. Friends and families will be invited to attend a short sharing on the final afternoon. No experience is necessary to enjoy this fun and creative intensive.

Our popular beach-based workshops are a chance to learn new skills and explore together in a stunning coastal environment. We will create with natural seasonal materials and share stories and friendship around the fire-pit. Guaranteed to be great fun and get you in the mood for spring. Families of all shapes and sizes welcome. Ticket required for each child age 2-12 years. Accompanying adults are free!

Join us for an artist-led workshop in the beautiful setting of Easter Craiglockhart Nature Reserve. Our Holyrood Park class for children aged 4-6 is an introduction to sustainable art making, safe outdoor exploration and play-based discovery. A Child and Adult sticking sticks into a Tree

Our older class at Holyrood Park gives young people aged 7-12 the chance to extend and develop their sustainable art making, with lots of opportunity for outdoor adventure and discovery. Children work in small age appropriate groups with experienced artist educators. These popular sessions spark curiosity in the natural world and joy in artistic process. Cost: £8/£13.50/£16.50 per class. To improve access for all, Art Buds Collective operates a fair payment system.

Open to children in P1-P4 attending Sciennes Primary School, Edinburgh. Art Buds After School Club takes place in the school's nature strip. Join us for outdoor creating, building, painting and sculpting every Tuesday! To set up something similar at your school or nursery, or to find our more about our bespoke 'Schools Workshops', get in touch.  Cost: £9.50 per class (Please contact the school directly. Financial support available.)

Our art workshops for adult groups and organisations in Scotland will leave you feeling creative, uplifted and inspired! Join our experienced Artist Educators for a grown up adventure that develops sustainable art skills and encourages greater connection with the nature world.

 

Our adult workshops can be delivered outdoors or indoors. Contact us for more information or to arrange a unique creative experience for your group. Corporate and private enquires welcome. Creative Communities - Improving Lives through Art

Art Buds is proud to offer free outdoor art classes and summer camps for children aged 3-11 in the Muirhouse and Bingham areas of Edinburgh.

 

The Creative Communities project provides free outdoor clothing and healthy food for every participating child, thanks to our partners and funders, North Edinburgh Arts, Community Renewal: Lifting Neighbourhoods Together, Frugi, Muddy Puddles and Creative Scotland. The project won the Creative Edinburgh Community Award in 2022 for its positive impact on the community.
